About We Will Remember
Founded in 2017, We Will Remember was born out of concern for the rapid loss of the WW2 generation and events that showed increasing division amongst humanity. Since then, We Will Remember has taken Chris Dennett around the globe as he seeks out the last remaining members of this precious generation.
Chris Dennett interviewing Ken Cook of the Green Howards on Gold Beach, 75 years after Ken first stormed the same beach.
Chris has been trusted with intimate stories from those averaging 96-years old. These range from a Wermacht soldier who was just 16 when they fled the Eastern Front only to be trapped inside the Battle of Berlin, to an African American lady who defied racial and gender discrimination to rise the ranks and be honoured by an audience with Obama at the White House.
These stories touch upon the whole spectrum of emotion and many of them are being shared for the first time.
We Will Remember has helped with the release of traumas that have been suppressed for decades.
We Will Remember is a documentary initiative with no bias. It has 3 core objectives:
Capture the humanity behind the history.
Foster understanding by connecting stories from all races, creeds and sides.
Help ensure that a conflict like the Second World War never happens again.
